This schedule describes the fees that apply when using the Jounce platform. Jounce Technologies, Inc. is the merchant of record for all transactions. All fees are processed through Stripe and shown in U.S. dollars.
A booking fee of 7.5% per session is added to the session price at checkout.
Families whose employer sponsors Jounce for Teams pay no booking fee. Session costs may be partially or fully subsidized by the employer depending on the plan.
Most sessions booked through Jounce are eligible for reimbursement from Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). Jounce provides itemized receipts suitable for HSA/FSA submission. Families are responsible for confirming eligibility with their plan administrator.
When available, insurance billing will be offered as an optional feature for families whose plan covers eligible therapy services. A formal diagnosis and ICD-10 diagnostic codes will be required. Coverage is determined by the insurance carrier, not by Jounce.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Jounce offers two ways for providers to participate on the platform: as a subscriber with full access, or as a non-subscriber participating only through family Job Posts. Both options are described below.
Founding provider rates are locked for life — these prices will not increase for providers who subscribe before standard pricing is announced. Subscribers receive full platform access — including a public profile, direct booking visibility, family discovery features, Job Post applications, and the lower platform fee. Choose the billing cycle that works best:

Subscription fees are billed in advance and renew automatically unless canceled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for partial subscription periods.
Providers may also participate on Jounce without a subscription. Non-subscribers can submit applications in response to family Job Posts and accept resulting bookings, but do not receive a public profile, direct booking visibility, or other subscriber benefits. Non-subscribers pay a higher platform fee on each completed session, as described below.
In addition to any subscription fee, Jounce collects a platform fee from each completed session. The rate depends on the provider's subscription status:

Standard Stripe payment processing fees of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction apply to each session payment. Consistent with marketplace norms, these processing fees are absorbed by the provider. Processing fees appear as a line item on every payout.

Stripe issues IRS Form 1099-K or 1099-NEC automatically for eligible providers at year end. Providers are responsible for their own tax obligations.
Respite Care, Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), and Academic and Learning Support providers are required to complete an annual background check through Checkr before activation and to maintain active platform status. The cost of the background check ($39.99, renewed annually) is the responsibility of the provider.
Licensed clinics, centers, and group practices ("Practices") participate under a separate Enterprise Agreement. The following fees apply:
The Practice is responsible for processing fees on subscription payments.
Jounce may update this fee schedule from time to time. Active users will be notified of any material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes do not apply to sessions booked before the effective date.
